RRRW Shows its Blinding Hypocrisy Yet Again.

A few weeks ago Carrie Prejean made her statement against same-sex marriage during the Miss USA pageant. Many LGBT individuals and allies, myself included, condemned her for this. The RRRW began screaming that Prejean was being silenced. Why can’t she speak her opinion? She was only saying what she believed! But nobody was attempting to silence Prejean. This was clearly evidenced by the fact that the video clip of her statement was viewed on YouTube and television millions of times, and she has since run the gambit of TV talk shows to parrot the anti-gay propaganda–albeit in her decidedly inarticulate manner. As usual the RRRW can’t understand that everybody has the freedom so speak, but they don’t have freedom from dissenting opinions.
Enter Miley Cyrus. Shortly after the Prejean pageant brouhaha Miley was asked her opinion on same-sex marriage and she gave it. She had a Twitter exchange with Perez Hilton:
Miley: I believe that EVERYONE deserves to be happy. That’s all I’m saying ;)
Perez: A lot of controversy over your answer, which is silly. I think you answered the question better than Miss California!
Miley: What was her answer??? Cause what I said is the truth. Everyone deserves to love and be loved and most importantly smile :)
Miley: thx! U know what I get crap for whatever I do but you asked me an honest question and I gave an honest answer! So whatevs!!! :)
Perez: I’m sad that people use God and religion as an excuse 2 hate, discriminate and deny gays & lesbians full equality under the law.
Miley: ya thats lame! God’s greatest commandment is to love. And judging is not loving. That’s why Christians have such a bad rep. <3 u

So what about those RRRWers who scream that people should be allowed to freely express their opinions? The ones that insisted any opposition to Prejean meant that she was being “silenced”? Here they are:

“Hannah Montana” star Miley Cyrus recently made statements supporting gay marriage.
Her comments were in response to a question posed to Miss California Carrie Prejean in the April 19 Miss USA Pageant. Homosexual celeblogger Perez Hilton was the pageant judge who asked Prejean her opinion of same-sex marriage, to which she responded that marriage should be between a man and a woman. Outraged by her response, Hilton began blasting the beauty queen and asked for celebrities to share their thoughts on gay marriage.
Miley Cyrus responded to Hilton through her Twitter.com account with the following comments:
* “Everyone deserves to love and be loved and most importantly smile.”
* “Jesus loves you and your partner and wants you to know how much he cares! That’s like a daddy not loving his lil boy cuz he’s gay and that is wrong and very sad!
* “Like I said everyone deserves to be happy.”
* “God’s greatest commandment is to love. And judging is not loving.”
* “I am a Christian and I love you - gay or not - because you are no different than anyone else! We are all God’s children.”Such statements will send the wrong message to our children who are influenced by this teenage megastar. Parents need to realize that Cyrus is not the positive role model she was once thought to be.

Clearly she is confused and does not understand the Bible. Please pray for the Lord to open her eyes to the truth.

Most Americans were angered by the Miss USA pageant unfairly discriminating against the moral values of Miss California Carrie Prejean. But equally disturbing is the reaction of young, self-proclaimed Christian celebrities who are taking the side of homosexual activist Perez Hilton, who led the attack against Carrie.
The sad fact is, nowadays most of America’s youth receives either no Biblical truth or cotton-candy truth disguised as “Christian.” Anti-religious government schools and the music that most parents let their kids consume have produced a pagan, go-with-your-feelings youth culture.

Right now, their pro-homosexual “marriage” values are reaching millions of young people through MTV and other media outlets.

On April 21, Miley wrote this Twitter message expressing her support for homosexual “marriage” to homosexual activist Perez Hilton, who had publicly punished Carrie Prejean for supporting Biblical marriage between a man and a woman:

Take action: Please share this information with your children and grandchildren. Share it in your church, if you have one. Email it to your friends. Broadcast it to Christian-format media. Contact Miley Cyrus, her pastor Dave Roberts, and try to contact Heidi Montag to remind them what the Bible says about marriage being only for a man and a woman.
BTW, Miley Cyrus understands the Bible just fine. She just realizes the Clobber Verses aren’t the only verses in it, and they certainly aren’t the most significant verses in it at that.

So Prejean preaches anti-gay twaddle and the LGBT community is supposed to take it without a peep of protest or we’re “silencing” her. We’re attacking her. We’re a hideous gay mob and we’re persecuting her. However Miley Cyrus expresses her opinion on the matter and it’s acceptable for the RRRW to flood her, her family, her pastor and her friends with letters, e-mails and phone calls telling her what a horrible, ignorant, un-Christian person she is?
Can you say “hypocrites”? How about “double standard”? I knew you could.
