John Hughes, Dead at 59.
John Hughes, famous for directing, producing and writing hit movies like The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and 16 Candles, died of a heart attack while visiting his family in Manhattan. At the risk of dating myself I’ll confess I came of age on his “teen angst” movies and adored them. He will be missed.
